A great year for ‘Black Rabbit’, what were the highlights event wise for this great refreshing brand that’s setting danceloors alight everywhere you go?
“The highlights for me were my birthday party in June at The Masons on London’s Harrow Road with Andy Weatherall, Justin Robertson, Cagedbaby and Bones. Everyone played amazingly – then our Second Birthday on Halloween at Matter with guests Smokin Jo and Serge Santiago was unreal.”
What were the big tunes at the club in 2008?
“Well it depends which ‘clubland’ you were in I suppose! For me it was Oliver Hunteman ‘Diablo’, Laidback Luke ‘Break The House Down’ and Tim Sheridan ‘s’ Ghosts-King Roc mix’.”
What DJs rocked the gaff this year?
“At ‘Black Rabbit’ for myself, Smokin Jo, Serge Santiago, Andy Weatherall and Bones definitely stuck out. Outside of that, I was impressed with Danny Howells, Cagedbaby and Paul Woolford.”
What was the best party you went to in 2008 in Ibiza?
“The ‘We Love’ that I played at in July – after I finished, we stayed for around ten hours as everyone was on form and a lot of the gang were there…”
Who have you met this year that you just know will be a friend for a life?
“Probably the guys from The Whip. Great live and a great bunch of people.”

“Probably Bones (again)”

“Hard to decide between remixing Roisin Murphy, playing at ‘We Love’ @ Space in Ibiza and ‘Black Rabbit’ reaching 2!”

“Well it was the recession, but people have gotta get more creative and make shit happen.”

“A new residency at Matter starting on Feburary 21st with The Glimmers, Justin Robertson, myself and Bones. More parties at The Masons and Belfast, Barcelona, Ibiza and more parties out of London…”
What’s with the name ‘Black Rabbit’ anyway?
“We were originally going to call it ‘Le Pen Noir’ which is ‘Black Rabbit’ in French , then decided that it sounded to up itself, so went with Black Rabbit which has a naughty, underground but playful feel to it.”
Strangest place you woke up at in 2008?
“Nowhere strange (this year ).”
Who has been the best person on radio in 2008?
“Hardly listen to it to be honest, but its good to see the likes of Dave Spoon and Heidi on Radio 1.”

“Between ‘Horsemeatdisco’ and ‘We Love’ in Ibiza.”
