Headlining Gods Kitchen’s Big Birthday on Saturday night…

Massive Saturday coming up in ‘Brum for the GK birthday, but before we get to that, how has the Summer been for you…?
“Hi Dan, this Summer has been amazing, I’ve played some great gigs in Ibiza and my ‘Dusk Til Dawn’ night’s have been going really well all over the world. I think the highlight of the Summer was closing the Mystery Land Festival in Amsterdam, an amazing firework and light show halfway through my set sent goosebumps everywhere, it was an honour to be asked to play there.”

So some good parties in Ibiza this year, I lost the plot all over the island at some great cheeky places. How busy were your gigs?
I had heard that the island was a little quieter than normal this year, however, my parties were still packed out, you can’t keep Ibiza down.”

How important do you think Ibiza still is?
“Some of the biggest tracks of the year are debuted in Ibiza and it sets the benchmark for music for the year. I think it’s great that you can have, what is effectively, a four month festival that guarantees the sun will be shining all of the time!”

So a big Gods Kitchen birthday on the way…but who would you invite to YOUR birthday party?
“As an interesting mix, Ricky Jervais, Nelson Mandela and John Lennon.”

Tell us about your ‘Dusk Til Doorn’ project…
“Well it’s a series of night’s held all around the world showcasing talent and music from my label Doorn Records. It’s how I dream of the perfect night both musically and visually at some of the best club’s on the planet.”

How is your label coming along?
“Well, my new single ‘Bastillon’ is out at the end of September on of course Doorn Records, also, keep an eye out for one my new tracks ‘Ninety’ which I’ve been road testing at gigs and festivals throughout the Summer. I am really proud of the amazing amount of talent I have signed at the label at the moment.”

A recent switch also, to your Purple Haze guize with your recent ‘Bliksern’ production. Why was there such a long period between that and your previous Purple Haze productions?
“I have been so busy working on the recent remixes and all the DJ work. I made ‘Bliksern’ and knew it was perfect to ressurect Purple Haze for that project.”

Your new website now allows people to view videos of yourself in the studio offering tips and tricks and how to make music, whyion to DJing.
