Another Berlin-based talent busts forth with their own individual and multi-faceted electronic vision. Alexander first made a dent with 2002’s ‘Progress’ album before the major success of ‘Response’ 18 months later. For the last three months he’s been playing live all over, and the new album reflects a maturing of his sound. Vocals have been added, including Sascha Funke collaborator Fritz Kalkbrenner on the Funk D’Void teamup ‘Can’t hold Me Back’, while ‘Your Affection’ features a vocoder vocal from Steve Warp. ‘She’s Worth It’ is a deep and dynamic collaboration with the mighty Joris Voorn, while ‘Horse Of Hell’ plants nasty heavy metal voices over twitchy techno. ‘Start Chasing’ is actually quite commercial with its female vocal. Alexander is to be congratulated for trying to widen his sound and pulls it off.
