The initials stand for Analogue People in A Digital World, who made a huge dent with their version of St Germain’s Rose Rouge and obviously on this writer going on my personal frothing in the press release about EP1 – the first part of this album-length release which also includes the symphonic ‘Unordinary Habits’, its deep space-techno remix by Ajello and Eastern percussion bolstered ‘Pure’. Just to repeat, APDW make a brand of techno completely unique to themselves: spaced, gorgeous and kicking, shot with Detroit flavours and 90s-style trouserbatics, all resonating long after the music’s over.
