AS ONE
PLANETARY FOLKLORE II
ARCHIVE

It’s been nearly ten years since Kirk Digorgio released Planetary Folklore for Mo Wax. This latest release under the As One moniker for Archive is billed as an imaginary follow up, and it’s not hard to see why.  Still content to play within the formats of techno, electro, broken beat and jazz, creating that classic template that’s never quite Detroit, not quite European, possibly just a bit planetary, always mindful of the jazz heritage it seeks to pay tribute to. In short, it’s that wonderful As One sound that few come close to.  If you’ve come to Digorgio via his recent Beauty Room project, this record might be a surprise.  Existing fans will undoubtedly have it on pre-order already.
