You’ll recognise this one – it’s the latest soundtrack choice to that advert for a certain credit card with a penchant for songs of an acoustic persuasion. However, Fink has followed the less well lit path than his previous Ninja Tune material, providing a deep, almost mournful song with a darkly resonant heart. Possibly it’s the production of Andy “Lamb” Barlow, or maybe it’s just a natural progression for Fink, it sounds like the result of endless travelling with nothing but black coffee for a companion. Hints at an interesting forthcoming album, due in the autumn.
