CHUCK LOVE
Bring Enough To Spill Some
Om Records

After reminding everyone how they shook up the 90s with the reissue of the Gargantuan album, Spooky are now unveiling their new sound for 2007. Those expecting their euphoric blend of euphoric melodies and banging grooves might be in for something of a shock as Duncan Forbes and Charlie May return to their soul roots, with this single and much of the album showcasing the sublime vocals of Celestine Gordon. They now deal with the kind of lush, soul-massaging songs made for summer but can still rock the house: their own mixes diversify while heading for different kinds of dancefloor. The Strobe-light Mix brings in the dark chords, big drop and punching groove. The Diffracted Dub and Slow Motion versions are made for sunny afternoons on the beach or early hours wafting. Spooky are back and, with their own label, mean to go all the way. It’ll be fun going with them.
