Electro that is obviously peddling some sort of emotionally artificial, only-comes-out-at-night plot, but isn’t stuffing it down your throat/requiring a dresscode, to the benefit of its ideas in minimalist goth-punk-pop chic. Desmond & Verona shout out slogans like advertising execs, play hype man, ham things up where required, indulge in sneering, full-of-it rap (‘Radio Spazio X’ getting on the Pokemon-funk-Duffman-rap tip) and generally rule well in animated/soulless tandem. Ominous booms, searches for Gary Numan-coloured blood, floating balladry and quiet-to-loud, plodding-to-high power tuning await those able to defeat the scary title.
