Daniel Boon was an early American hero, a hunter and pioneer who sported a bison’s todger on top of his fur hat. Ostfunk is the label started by the top Berlin party promoters to translate the mayhem of their club nights onto record. Together they are responsible for this elk’s stiffie of a floor-burner, drenched in eerie resonance with simple bass undertow stoking a 90s-srtyle trouser-groove amidst the weird internal momentum. The Lutzenkirchen Remix replaces the spooked atmosphere with ham-slapping groove, plonks and bleeps to establish a different kind of malevolence bent on carnage. The Raumakkustik Remix strips down to clipped, clockwork future-rhythm. Sounds like a great place.
