One of the most enduring images living in Manchester afforded me was the monthly appearance of Electric Chair’s posters which simply bore the trademark, the DJ’s names and perhaps even the odd statement of intent. No frills, no fuss. But then the ad was aimed at those who knew what the night stood for in the first place. Much like this series of mix compilations from The Unabombers the music speaks for itself and is presented to you as the club night is: a fired-up selection of varying beats, rhythms, highs, lows and good times. From the Sunburst Bands delicious “Far Beyond” to Jazztronic’s sublime “Samauri” the tunes keep on coming to command your attention throughout. Satisfaction is, as always, guaranteed.
