Force Of Nature
III (European Edition)
Mule Musiq

Force Of Nature are Japanese duo KZA and DJ Kent, Libyus records supremos who, after releasing four singles with Mule Musiq, now see a European release for this album first released in Japan in 2006. The pair float around in their own stratosphere which can see the album easing in on the billowing hiphop of ‘Axiomatie’ then take off into the hallucinogenic boogie-voyage of ‘To The Brain’ with electro flavours including a nod at Afrika Bambaataa’s ‘Looking For The Perfect Beat’. The next few tracks hop into the cosmic disco with no trouble and many thrills, recalling post-punk jitters on ‘Straight Ahead’ and classic italo on ‘I-ight’. The last half of the album winds into an intoxicating blend of Moroder soundtracks with keening synth melodies and sequences, ‘Supernova’ which shows their skill at slowly turning up the pressure into one heavenly blast of spangled emotion. Two bonus tracks, ‘Active Force’ and ‘Liberate’ stray further into spaced disco-dub territory. Well worth checking out.
