Like many others, James Holden has gradually moved on from prog/trance to electro/techno. Anticipated debut album ‘The Idiots Are Winning’ sees him explore the possibilities of minimal with his usual artistic sparkle but the talented producer/DJ is no mere opportunist. Injecting much of his beloved indie/experimental influences in the equation, he’s crafted a thoughtful and yet instinctive object that effortlessly stands out in a sea of soulless electronic productions.
