This is the second album from the Helsinki sextet Husky Rescue, and while its latest single ‘Nightless Night’ hinted at a venture towards Cardigans territory, the record finds them building on the chilled songs of their ‘Country Falls’ debut. Here the mood is similarly relaxed, with vocalist Leeta Korhola bewitching the ear, but there’s some nice touches of psychedelia round the edges that give the tracks more depth and a welcome dash of unpredictability. While careful not to overindulge, this is a real step up for the band.
