Phwoar, this is going to be available on six coloured vinyl discs too! Therefore, the music has to be something special and this latest in the Compilation series from Sven Vath and Pauli Steinbach is more than that, spotlighting what’s detonating current floors while also unfolding as something of a rather incredible emotional journey. After MyMy set the scene with their subtle, glistening strangeness it’s straight into the magnificent Fuckpony. It’s immediate apparaent that nothing but the cream is going to be on show here. Names including Cobblestone Jazz, the haunting Chaim, Stephan Bodzin, Anthony Rother, Tiefschwarz, Marcel Dettmann [with the swelling attack of ‘Sepia’], stunningly head-alering Audion, Jamie Jones and personal favourite of mine Onur Ozer, who’s inimitable and infinite way with sounds impressed so much on Vakant. Deetron finishes up a lethal set which is a joy from start to finish.
