This is the tour-bus after-party you want to be invited to: Leeroy ex Prodigy, US Breakbeat SUPERSTARS The Crystal Method, Jim Davies of Pitchshifter (METAL!), Dirty Harry (have you seen her in that video RAWK SLUT!!!) plus a bunch of hard hitting rap Mo-Fos… all you need is Hypers mate Tommy Lee to turn up and you’ve got the kind of molotov party cocktail that when it goes off, is ganna blaze for years, not days! This is Guy Hypers first artist album outing and he’s brought his mates along for the ride! ‘We Control’, the title track sets the scene with MC Xander (isn’t that a fish?) spittin’ lyrics as phat as anything the leftfield has come up with… Dirty Harry brings the filth with ‘Never Stop’, Shirley and Butch would have been proud of this one. The Mighty Meth step up and bring the bass to one of the main highlights from the album ‘Set Fire To Me’… there’s a reason they’ve done 1M+ albums. Keeping the vibe Stateside ‘Dirty Mind’ could be a Deftones remix, which can only be a good thing. The 80s thing is all over this record, and Guy really shows his colours on Ant Music, maybe they could get Adam and The Ants to guest at one of the shows? Now that would be worth the door tax. Album aside, it’s all about the Live element of Hyper’s alter ego that really brings the concept together. Leeroy commands the stage as well as any UK MC vying for Rodney’s crown and turns the Hyper album from a great concept into a kinetic clash of electro punk firing from the hips with all pistols.
