The cover of this appealing album gives it away – a brightly coloured room decorated as if the Mr Men had dropped by, leaving a dog and a keyboard. Carreras has a similar approach to music, difficult to pin down and showing an impressive versatility as he works his way through doom laden guitars, four to the floor workouts and semi-improvised tracks with elusive cross rhythms. It makes for engaging listening, but the cream rises to the top with final track ‘Anarko-F’, a deep techno monster with a sinister vocal in its closing minutes, suggesting a bit of political feeling. An imaginative producer to keep an eye on.
