I’m not sure if it’s just me but never more then a month seems to go by without one a Dave Lee’s aliases releasing a single, album or compilation showing his multi-faceted worth. Joey Negro, his most famous, and the disco don who keeps the mmirror-ballrevolving with his ‘80s pastiches of classic sounds from a bygone hedonistic era. Of his many faces, this collection showcases the crème of his club output over the last couple of years such as “Movin On” from Sessomatto, the jazzy acid house of Akabu “I’m Not Afraid Of The Future” and an exclusive edit of “Make A Move On Me”. While a second disc includes some tasty exclusive remixes from a plethora of top talent (Basement Jaxx, Masters At Work, Martin Solveig and more) who rre-tweakinghis back catalogue, with Ame’s cult future classic mix of Akabu’s “Phuture Bound” the crowning glory.
