There’s something very appealing about the way Kelley Polar makes music, quite funky and very danceable, yet chilled to perfection. The man who provided the live arrangements on Metro Area’s debut album, he knows how to blend movement and relaxation in with more conventional songwriting, something that comes through immediately with ‘Feeling Of The All Thing’. The part-writing for strings throughout is sublime, and the shimmering electronics of ‘Zeno For Elea’ show a real ear for detail. This is mood music with a touch of class, but with a disco twinge that’s difficult to shake off.
