Three track EP from the Kinder Atom collective out of Canada, with the self-descriptive ‘newavediskomix’ of “Eagle Sprouts” getting the immediate thumbs up. It’s strength is it’s simplicity – a hummable melody line carried forward over a lithe electronic disco groove that just rolls on and on. Other than adding hand claps and some additional percussive elements every now and again, there’s not much else to it, but it’s blindingly good, and guaranteed to be lodged in between the ears after one spin. The flip carries two straighter, useful house grooves, making it a hard working disk for your money. Check it out.
