LYNDEN DAVID HALL
IN BETWEEN JOBS
RANDOM RECORDS

Hall’s voice never has to tilt too much one way or another to convey opposites; his is a buttery tone whether he’s celebrating love or firing a serious telling-off. A deluxe bed of fire-stoking soul, the bittersweet ‘Pimps, Players and Hustlers’ shakes its head at society, a brave face and a couldn’t-care-less complexion retraces ‘Memories’, the title track speaks up for the Average Joe, and ‘Still Here with You’ is essentially D’Angelo from Meth’s ‘Break Ups 2 Make Ups’. Don’t quit the day job LDH, this’ll do nicely.
