Latest on veteran dungeon of delights Compost spotlights the trio of producer/DJs Marcel Aue DJ Malik of Clueso and Robert Krause who also does artwork and cool chanteuse Antje ‘Spunki’ Seifarth, who all hail from Erfurt. Musical boxes go out of the window here as anything from minimal techno to jazz and pop songs are straddled with dollops of personal emotions. Catchy first single ‘Beats Like Birds’ comes with a Douglas Greed remix while ‘Roll To Roll’ nags the legs. Lots of textures and atmosphere afoot but ‘Ttticticrac’ would get on the radio if it was pronouncable.
