A hip-hop mixtape, sure, but not in the traditional “let’s bang together a load of hot beats and drop some lazy rhymes over them” style. Parknsun wanted to make a mixtape since he started out, but in his own style, and on his own terms. The big difference here is that all the beats featured are original compositions unique to this album. The style presented is true to the source, as LG & Lopez take the beats and re-construct them, chop them up, and mix them together, dj style, showcasing Parknsun’s wry, casual observations over constantly shuffling breaks and backdrops. With contributions from Jehst, Secondsun, Bob Skunkhouse, and Asaivour, plus live flute from Biscuit, this is has all the hallmarks of a UK mixtape classic.
