Remix albums often fall well short of the mark, but Moby’s ones never have – and ‘Last Night’ is no exception. Two things work in his favour here – the mixing and the choice of remixers. It doesn’t matter that there are three versions of ‘I Like To Move In Here’ present – the versions from Holy Ghost!, Seamus Haji and Style of Eye all speak for themselves, and fit in to a really well executed mix. There’s enough variety here, from the likes of General Midi, Shapeshifters, Freemasons and Kris Menace, to make a full on hour long set that feels like a selection of house tracks, rather than three or four. And that’s quite an achievement.
