The prolific Mr Fresh’s fifth album on his own Howlin’ Records sees him return to his old school hiphop roots but it can never be simple with the Minneapolis analogue demon. Fred thinks nothing of throwing latin percussion whoopee, Younger Youth’s reggae toasting, Moroder melodies and time-honoured disco loops into the pot, even nodding to country MOR on ‘Outside’. For Freddy, music knows no bounds and he has a lot of fun which never fails to translate to the music and quickly becomes very contagious.
