Paul Kalkbrenner’s considerable output for B Pitch Control gets a good going over from the cream of their roster, with the nine resulting remixes reaching exceptional standards. While Agoria, Ellen Allien & Apparat, Joris Voorn and Alexander Kowalski combine to rock the dancefloor, a nice contrast is achieved in a spaced-out nocturne from the Wighnomy Brothers, who start with their beatless remix of ‘Steinbesser’. On the other hand is a bizarre, march-like take on ‘Gia 2000’ from Modeselektor which is sure to have the majorettes in a frenzy. For remix albums, this is pretty much as good as they come.
