Pendulum

If memory severs the last drum ‘n’ bass record I reviewed was Goldie’s ‘Inner City Life’ – guess that says as much about my feelings to the genre as it does to how good this track is. For those into the scene, they get no bigger then Pendulum, and the fact that a major label is behind this release can only help with widening their obvious appeal. What starts out like an eerie version of Babylon Zoo’s ‘Space Man’ quickly erupts into a rocking Prodigy-esque pastiche of racing tempos matching the energy of the lead singer and the full-on guitar riffs. Already a Buzz Chart topper and on daytime radio – the future’s very bright.
