Creativity can be a painful, torturing process as Pentatonik’s man Simeon Bowring discovered whilst working on this album, which took not less than ten years to complete (he simply put it all to the bin twice before handing it to the label). Now it was worth the trouble as, even if ‘The Five Angels’ occasionally suffers from Ibeefa clichés, this rich electronic soundtrack simply stands well above all the dire ambient competition for integrating classical music and grand melodies as only the greatest do (Glass, Morricone…).
