Not many albums hit the techno/trance divide in a more commercial sense and stand up to repeated listening, but Sander Van Doorn pulls off the balancing act in an impressive long player that proves all killer and no filler. Even the bonus track is worth having, his ethereal remix of Sia’s unusual ‘The Girl You Lost To Cocaine’. Of the previously established favourites, ‘Riff’, ‘Grasshopper’ and ‘By Any Demand’ are the big ones, but they’re not in bad company either – ‘Look Inside Your Head’ is especially good. Well structured and executed, Van Doorn’s new album is one powerful hit.
