When I first heard Santos’s production I knew this man had a something abit different to offer the Breakbeat scene. His tracks have an immediate impact when let loose on the dance floor. ‘Home Sweet Home’ blurs the lines between house music and breaks to great effect. This LP is jam packed with upfront plates which will satisfy fans and newcomers alike. From the funked up acid ride of ‘Elektro’, via the jazzy breaks journey ‘Tromba’ and the old skool builder of ‘Human Decision’ before toasting things off with monstrous ‘Pump It Up!’. Santos has tuned in a wide-ranging and well executed album, which deserves your full attention.
