SHITDISCO
KINGDOM OF FEAR
FIERCE PANDA

Four Glasgow art students Joel, Joe, Jan & Darren, transformed their tenement flat into a late night anything goes venue of choice, and the party lasted 3 years, becoming the infamous talk of Glasgow town. Shitdisco was born, gaining the band a reputation for playing anywhere, anytime, just so long as it was a party. Eventually they were evicted, but there was no stopping this lot, they bought a cheap caravan off Ebay, and partied on. With a track record like that, and the release of two singles, ‘Disco Blood’ that name checks the greats, Donna Summer, Bobby Orlando, Dinosaur L, Material, Georgio Moroder, and then just for the crack, adds Kelly Marie to the list. Meanwhile ‘Reactor Party’ gives rave a punky edge with a chanting chorus, ‘We’ve never heard of The Ministry Of Sound, we’ve never heard of the underground. Not enough bollocks to close it down’. Both cuts are included here on Shitdisco’s breathtaking debut album ‘Kingdom Of Fear’. Along with the breakneck rolling toms and speed funk bass & guitar of ‘I Know Kung Fu’. The Joe 90 riff busting ‘Lovers Of Others’, and the post punk par excellence of ‘Fear Of The Future’. Shitdisco are flying the flag for illegal party chaos, and it’s non stop mayhem & fun all the way.
