A superb collection of down-tempo gems from the Soma back catalogue. Given how much quality material the label releases, it’s easy to overlook the occasional album track or b-side mix, which is why this collection becomes something of a necessity. Including material from Slam, Vector Lovers, Maas (the awesome and timeless “Look At Me Now, Falling”), The Black Dog, and Silicone Soul, amongst many, it’s the perfect companion for those late night drifts. If you need any further convincing, sample Slam’s “Bright Lights Fading”, Henrik Schwarz’s remix of Alex Smoke’s “Don’t See The Point”, and Lee Van Dowski & Quenum’s apt “Thomas Edison Invents The Lazy Dance”.
