The return of Spirit Catcher is cause for celebration indeed, with Belgium’s finest moving over to Systematic with little more than a whimper. All that made ‘Night Vision’ such a good listen is present and correct here, with a mixture of chunky, ‘80s-influenced funk, classy slow disco and the odd more upbeat track. Another side of their persona becomes clearer in the magnificently moody ‘No Way Out’, balancing the beautifully sculptured ‘Special Dimension’. Throughout this Spirit Catcher are on excellent form, some deep production work offset by fulsome rhythms and springy basslines. Definitely one to check out.
