The electronic bird noises at the start are misleading on this live set – anyone thinking this might be Steve Hillage at his most indulgent will be thrown into sharp relief by the scale of the beat that kicks in around the four minute mark. One found, this beat never lets go, and true to form, Hillage and Giraudy keep the momentum at top level, the pace building almost too quickly for floorfillers like ‘High Plains Drifter’. Anyone familiar with the duo’s work won’t be disappointed by a driving set of atmospheric techno – another timeless record from a seemingly timeless outfit.
