The Rogue Element is actually Ben Medcalf, who first caused a commotion with his ‘Panic Attacks’ single while floor-stormers like the [literally] buzzing ‘Hive’ and nasty ‘Escalation’ have boded well for this second album album. It doesn’t disappoint, the dancefloor demolishers continuing with the well-trod clanking rave riff of the title track and spikey assault of ‘Sore Tooth’. Exercising some light and shade, ‘Binary Suite’ injects soft focus electro pulsations while ‘Mistakes’ takes an indie detour with vocals. State-of-the-current-electronic-art whoopee all round.
