The Young Punx!
Your Music Is Killing Me
Mofo-Hifi

Over the past four years Denmark’s Anders Trentemoller has risen to the upper echelons of electronic music producers, remixing names like Moby and selling buckets of last year’s debut album The Last Resort. Now he’s chosen to rope together a double set of obscurities, live versions and tracks previously only available on twelve-inch, plus a CD of his remixes. The first half of CD1 is quite a remarkable journey, delicately meandering through his intricate brand of soft-focus electronica, with the remix of Klovn’s McKlaren about as haunting as this music gets. Then he starts upping the pace into more familiar spikey electro-vamps, which are okay but the magic has already occurred. CD2 harnesses together a bunch of sharp, well-executed remixes for names including Royskopp, The Knife, Tomboy and the afore-mentioned Moby’s Go.
