A rare artist album from the legendary Berlin operation showcases a local talent who’s already released on Cabinet, Mermaid, Rampe-D, Tongut and Substatic. Todd’s sound could loosely be described as minimal in the way tracks are built on subtle, shadowy grooves on which are built intricate layers of sounds which prefer to whisper rather than bellow. He’s not averse to applying dub science to space up the vibe on ‘No Answer’ and often dives into gauzy, rumbling machine funk on tracks like ‘Terminal b’. Todd also shows he’s capable of a more classic form of Detroit-influenced techno on ‘Monkeyrabbit’. Repeated listenings means hours of fun.
