Don’t be put off by the title – this really isn’t music for being ill to. More than that, it’s music to put you completely at ease, as drawn out melodic loops wind themselves around the ears, while gentle sounds drift in and out of earshot. Green’s music obviously owes a considerable debt to Brian Eno, being as it is an extension of ‘Music for Airports’, but holds its own well through its hour-long journey. Particularly effective is the second section of the three, which features a sound like a soft steel pan that works really well. What really sets this a notch higher is an accompanying DVD from visual artist John Rixon, with his responses to the music as seen at Tate Britain. It makes a vivid third dimension.
