Unkle
End Titles… Stories For Film
Surrender All

James Lavelle & Pablo Clements are the current Unkle line up, and for their new album ‘End Titles…Stories For Film’ they’ve drafted in a great selection of guests and collaborators, which has ended up with diverse and inspired results, from classical pieces to groovy electronic rock, it’s all got a certain edge. Highlights include the fuzzy driving psychedelics of ‘Cut Me Loose’ which has got Clayhill’s Gavin Clark taking the lead. The dirty glam stomp of ‘Ghosts’ is up next, closely followed by the bluesy rocker ‘Blade In The Back’ which also features Gavin Clark, and Josh Homme from Queens Of The Stone Age makes a welcome return to the Unkle camp with ‘Chemical’, which wouldn’t sound out of place on Radiohead’s ‘Paranoid Android’. Unkle have come up trumps again, ‘End Titles…Stories For Film’ is an album of many moods that veers off in all sorts of directions without going up it’s own arse.
