Believe it or not, Back To Mine is now twenty eight episodes long, a month’s worth of after hours mixes! This time it’s Krafty Kuts getting to show off, with Martin Reeves opening his record box and setting down quality funk, hip hop and generally laid back grooves. This one’s of the keeping the party going variety though, so that tracks like Tyrone Brunson’s ‘The Smurf’ offer a funky twist with cheese liberally but enjoyably applied, while NAS, Pete Rock and A.D.O.R. offer cutting edge hip hop. Add Paul Hardcastle, Roy Ayers and Skool Of Thought and you get an idea as to where this is headed – just make sure there’s room to groove in front of the sofa!
