Christos Antoniou aka C. Da Afro is a man who never sleeps. Either he is in the studio or recording his radio show, or he’s in the gymn. The Greek Disco don has at least one release a week and that’s been going on for quite some time now. Starting out as a edit king of 70s and 80s Funk, Soul and Disco grooves, the man has developed a lot of late. That’s what you can hear quite clearly on his latest offering for prime UK label Tropical Disco. ‘Reconstructed Groove’ is an uptempo Disco gem with loads of elements from the late 70s, powered by a perfect bubbling bassline and strong, pounding beats. If the dancefloors in Europe should re-open at any time, this will be a secret weapon for the funkier floors!
