First-rate production via Greece’s Chris Child sees the opening title track, ‘Recommend’ extend the word tension into a blistering attack on the senses with pounding, dark rhythms and haunting layers of sound teasing out every last sense drop of anticipation. Next comes the relative light-relief of the more tuneful, ‘Rain’ which simulates warmer atmospheres care of floating vocal edits, chiming percussion and a reassuring rush of emotive synthesizers, which all goes to compliment the apt ‘Recommend’ perfectly.
