It’s been a while since we heard from Modular’s excellent Leave Them All Behind series, which has helped introduce us to a number of quality southern hemisphere dance acts, let alone some sharply honed remixers. As with previous volumes this comes with a DJ friendly CD to complement the mixed action, which sees the Bag Raiders step up with a more pop flavoured mix than has been the case previously. This isn’t a bad thing, mind, given the quality on show – with DJ Sneak’s mix of Azari & III’s ‘Reckless With Your Love’, the Justin Martin mix of TEED’s ‘Household Goods’ and Tim Green’s take on Friendly Fires’ ‘Leave Those Days Tonight’ all vying for top spot. The unmixed CD has a nice range, with Baths, Tom Vek, Toro Y Moi and the good time funk of the Chilly Gonzales track ‘You Can Dance’ all reasons to be cheerful.
