Hmmmmm, how many times can you rerelease tracks with a remix and not get fed up of them, not very often in my book so I wasn’t that inspired when this arrived on my fluffy doormat. Then I gave it a spin, first off The Terrordome (Renegade track) is brought back to life by new bod Bladerunner, he uses the classic piano riff together with a lot of the original that boosted Rays career back in the mid 90’s. Altogether a nice remix holding true to the mammoth original. On the flip ‘Come on Girl’ is VIP’d up by Ray himself (again), this first appeared on part 2 but this is a much better attempt me thinks. On to vinyl 2, ‘ Girls dem want it’ was a very big track for Ray on Bryan G’s Chronic label and Serum steps up to the Grim Station to mix it up a little. Then we go onto ‘The Chopper’, now everyone will know the Shy FX remix of this and it went on to become one of Dreads biggest sellers. Bladerunner steps up once again and tries his best to roll the beats but sadly on this occasion doesn’t come close to the original or Shy’s mix. All in all probably the best from the series of remakes and worth buyng for Girls dem and Terrordrome themselves !!!
