Flashmob was huge when they were a duo, but it is an even better project since it is just Alessandro from Milan. His latest releases have been nothing but great and his new offering, significantly named ‘Drop The Bass’ is no exception to the rule. The Original Mix kicks things off, delivering a driving tech house workout that boasts a stomping dancefloor-ready groove, powerful bass frequencies, an array of killer looped-up vocal samples plus a dramatic breakdown and intense build-up half way through. I must say breakdowns are special from a producer’s point of few as they are one of the most difficult things to execute in a perfect way-Flashmob being on the forefront of the top guys here.
Next, the rising UK-based DJ/producer Max Chapman steps up to provide an excellent remix of the aforementioned track, opting to utilise only a small selection of the Original’s main elements and add a deep and funky rolling bassline to a straight-up solid house beat to conclude the release. A track and a label to watch out for!
