Another masterclass in cool from Gilb’R who this time teams up with DJ Sotofett to deliver two equally hot-wired versions of ‘Cham’. If you’re new to Versatile please expect the unexpected as the label sensibly avoids a whole bunch of cliques to produce music such as this. Part One, teases out the analogue expectations across some twelve minutes of challenging, almost Jazz like free-expression over a feverish supply of drums and pulsating House bass. Version Two, shortens but has no less impact care off haunting sound effects and its succession of taught spellbinding rhythms.
