NAIROBI YETU
KILIO CHA HAKI (A CRY FOR JUSTICE)
UPTOYOUTOO/GLOBAL YOUTH INITIATIVES

A Kenyan awareness group, backed by Dutch cohorts and international imports, smudge the line between XL crew membership, tagalong workshop and united front when voicing global, multilingual concerns – in such a situation, choosing hip-hop is the obvious outlet for expression. One listener’s ‘overlong’ is another’s ‘comprehensive’ menagerie of snug head bobbers (think Pete Rock, The Ummah, LA Symphony ranging from merry to sensitive) embraced by an avid band of peas-in-a-pod rhymers fighting the good fight; it won’t hurt to take a moment and listen to justice prevail.
