Alex Agore has long been an underrated house making champion and now he proves that once again when he appears on this VA EP with the likes of James Dexter and LongPlay as well as Max and Lloyd. The label putting it out is RM Records and overall it makes for an essential bit of club baiting house music. LongPlay go first with What A Day, the sort of infectious house tune that really gets floors going. With a classic vocal sample and driving bass, it is full of robust groove. Alex Agore is next and has proved himself over and over in recent times. His cut Deeper is a bombastic, rubbery kick drum driven affair with golden synths and lots of diva vocals to really set it off. Then comes James Dexter who goes deep and smooth with his rolling effort. Littered with cool pads, subtle percussive tweaks and retro stabs it is a really dancing bomb and lastly Max & Lloyd strip things right back to a hollowed out groove with tumbling time, sombre synth lines and a wavy sense of groove that is wholly excellent. This is a fine EP that every DJ and dancer needs in their life.
