Alistair Albrecht completely rewires the Chuck Berry blues rock of ‘Downbound Train’ into a fully stoked, pistons pumping, clave and percussion driven groover. The slightly off-kilter vocal will keep the heads down and keep the dancefloors burning and there’s a metal acoustic guitar break flies in like an eagle across a desert landscape. It’s beautiful and then it’s gone. It’s got that summer set ‘go-to’ ring about it.
