Andrea Frisina’s back catalogue is impressive enough, but if you’ve managed to delve a bit deeper into his discography, then you’ll already have noticed that he’s embarked on something of a purple patch in recent times. In may ways, Joey Beltram’s remix for his last release should have stole the show, but it’s telling that it was Frisina’s original which won the majority of hearts and minds when that came out a few months back. Anyway on to his latest release, and in many ways it’s more of the same. Frisina’s sound is vehemently geared towards an underground techno palette, and it’s this sound which he returns to with real gusto here. The name of the track we’re referring to is ‘Landing on Enceladus’, and while we’ll confess to not knowing quite where Enceladus is on the world map, if this track is anything to go by it’s certainly somewhere we’d like to visit. A track that explored the full gamut of the producer’s talents, it’s nothing if not diverse in its approach. A real grower, it moves steadily but also progresses with an almost unnoticed vigour, as it gets more and more sinister as the track rolls on. And when the breakdown finally does come, it’s sure to be one you’ll lap up on a dark and sweaty floor. More great work here from Mr.Frisina.
