Bill Withers’ soul classic ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’ has been given the royal electronic rewiring by one of my favourite Austrian’s, Lido. Much like his EP and Banks remix of 2014, it’s a theatrical, show-stopping affair with its tick-tocking heart firmly beating in the dubstep world and the vocal and finger snapping parts firmly ensconced in and enriching the soul. I liked this so much I closed my Paulette Goes Bang radio show with it last week. Gorgeous piece of music made all the more fresh by the ever wonderful Lido.
